top work
the last 2 big paintings though have been on extra fine canvas as they would have weighed too much, but I actually prefered working on that extra fine canvas stuff, very lightweight and the pain adhered to it really well.
I've painted some big pieces, 3 foot x 5 foot I think is my largest. Your portrait of Petit is quite large! I like BIG...it has awesome impact.
I'm getting ready to do a series and I'm trying to figure out what scale to go with, I'm thinking big.
take care.
i usually work out my paintings size and get either a canvas or wooden panel made to the exact size by first projecting them up on to a wall and visually seeing what size works best. i can measure the exact sizes.
its amazing when you beam them up how they change. Some images which you look at on a computer screen and look quite uninspiring can all of a sudden jump right out and become really intense and interesting.
good luck with the new series
