The Three Rhymesmen

This painting was a long journey for me. A journey of working on my portrait skills, fleshtones, caucasian and african american, and technique. I'm not typically a portrait painter but over time it's something I've been working on. Acrylics paints are just challenging in general you would think after about 20 years of using acrlyics I'd have it down by now, NOPE! :)

I think art is general is a constant learning process, always evolving, always new things to experiment with. I hope you all enjoy this piece and feel free to comment and let me know your thoughts.

Really nice painting! Hey, I actually used to live in Kissimmee last year (I'm now back down in South Florida). I was doing caricatures at Universal Studios. I was wondering if you knew any of the artists there. I also attended Sketch South.

Thanks! Which painting were you commenting on? I love your work...I dig the blue (pencil?) work!! It has that cartoon underdrawing process feel to it! I bet you can bang those things out if you were working at Universal! (I used to airbrush in Panama City Beach so I know a thing or two about banging some things out for the tourism croud, fun stuff).
I don't know any artists that work the park circuits...or even what Sketch South is~ what do you do down south?
