Well I've been working this piece for some time...and I'm pretty sure it's where I'd like it to be to call it complete :) Gus Hansen is just a sick card player in general and one of the greats among his piers which is why I chose to paint this portrait to have for my collection. Acrylic on Canvas 36 x 60 inches Title: not sure yet

This painting was a long journey for me. A journey of working on my portrait skills, fleshtones, caucasian and african american, and technique. I'm not typically a portrait painter but over time it's something I've been working on. Acrylics paints are just challenging in general you would think after about 20 years of using acrlyics I'd have it down by now, NOPE! :) I think art is general is a constant learning process, always evolving, always new things to experiment with. I hope you all enjoy this piece and feel free to comment and let me know your thoughts. Acrylics on board 12" x 48"

First finishing it though of course, I would say its about 85% with about 10 to 20 more hours of work. Motivation. My motivation for this piece originally was my love for Sebastian Krugers work. Second motivati

YO Matt what's up brutha!!? I'm about to send out a lil email (to the Kruger Crew) when I finally finish this latest piece..
Hard to find time/drive sometimes. Hey Killer Gwen Stafani piece....love it!

Just been working at the J O B (3d graphics/aniamtion stuff) and trying to find the time to work on my series. It's funny,
I hate my work because I keep checking Krugers site and he just knocks killer stuff out ALL the time! lol.

Looking forward to the Kruger book as well, hopefully the price is "reasonable" . . . you know Bernd, he's a high price marketer ;)

Let me know how you've been and what you've been up to!

Later, it's lunchtime out here on the East side
Thanks for the fav my friend!
